Ah yes, as we get older the body does start to change, and each year we become more aware that life in the physical body is not eternal. THAT IS THE DIFFICULT NEWS. But that is not ALL the news. THE GOOD NEWS is that the life of the spirit within IS eternal. I never would have believed this until in my forties the powers of creation made me aware that I could communicate with the spirits of people who had passed on. And believe me this experience was a SHOCK. Having said that, right now the focus is not on my story as you can read all about it in my book COSMIC CONNECTION.
Yes I am a medium but that is not my focus right now. At the moment I am not trying to connect with my father and mother in spirit or your loved ones either. I am connecting with MY spirit within and encouraging you to connect with your spirit within. And if you are over 50 and thinking about aging, I want you to know that our spirits within can help us thrive as we age. The truth is that our spirits are NOT aging. Our spirits are eternal. So lets stop being frantic about aging, running from this to that and the other to try to find the miracle of youth. The bottom line is that if there is any miracle to be found, it is within each one of us. The spirit within can keep you on a positive emotional track as you age.
Your spirit has the excitement and curiosity of a two year old and the wisdom of a ninety two year old. Talk to your spirit as if you were having a conversation with your best friend. While you may be overly critical of yourself your spirit is reasonable and compassionate. I tell you, when I lead my life mostly with my conscious mind, I am a mess, but when I go within and let my spirit be part of my choices, I have a much better life. And each day that I live is a gift even if it is making me a day older. The spirit knows that when my body can no longer support me, my spirit will fly out of my body and join my loved ones in eternal life. I am 80 years young or old depending on how I choose to look at it. My spirit is ageless and my miracle to live with. I know, taking care of an aging body is no fun, but tell your spirit within to help you find the fun in everything. EVERY DAY IS A GIFT.

DR SEUSS IS LEARNING. I believe in my heart that if he were alive today he would be changing some of the images in his books that are a product of the unconscious racism that so many of us white people have been raised with. If he was alive today I can see him being part of groups of white people who are looking deeply at how the racist culture they were raised in has embedded within them racist ideas they never knew they had. DR SEUSS IS NOT BEING PUNISHED. WE ARE NOT BEING PUNISHED. IF WE ARE WILLING, IN THIS MOMENT, THIS IS AN OPPORTUNITY TO LEARN. I believe that if Dr Seuss were here today he would understand that we need to withdraw the images that unconsciously support racist ideas. I held my breath as I started to read the list of the six books of his that will not be sold anymore. I did NOT want my favorites to be on the list and fortunately for me emotionally, they were not. Tears poured from my eyes and I understood how deeply the DR, SEUSS books are part of me and my memories of raising my children and grand children. But again, as I think about the Spirit of Dr Seuss, he still lives and I believe he agrees with the decision to stop selling those six books. I BELIEVE DR SEUSS WANTS THE BEST FOR CHILDREN AROUND THE WORLD.

Why do loud voices bother me now? Why does a shrill tone hurt my ears now? Why am I tired of being told what to do, what to say, where to be, who to be?
That time is over now. I do not want to take advice from cranked up speakers who are trying their best to motivate me. All of the words are sincere and from the heart and while I appreciate it, the tone of voice gets in my way now. I cannot listen to the music of the spheres or the gentle messages from the trees and sky when someone is speaking so loud and with such gusto.
I am tired of listening to this years “buzz words.” Suddenly everyone speaking is talking about this or that, as long as the words fit the current trend. I am old now, and I have seen these buzz words come and go. They go around in a circle much like the clothing and hair fashions go in and out of style. And it is all sincere and honest and I appreciate the effort. But why do these words ever changing to fit the people’s current interest, all sound like I have heard them so many times before?
I AM happy listening to a great teacher now in eternal life: Joseph Campbell. I listen to his videos over and over and read his words over and over. He understands and teaches me about how myths and ideas about life ARE important and YES we have been hearing the same ideas over and over and over through the centuries, because we need to have ideas and images to cling to. It is important. As human beings, we need some kind of structure to help us understand what it means to be a human being. I listen to Joseph Campbell now. I like his voice, his smile, his laugh when someone asks him a question that is so deep he cannot possibly answer it. For me RIGHT NOW, he is my teacher and my other teachers are the trees, the sky, the water and all of nature.
So if you need to tell me your vision of the world or how you think I should be, this is not a good time to speak to me with a loud and motivated tone. I may start tuning out. Please speak softly to me now.

WHY VOTE? WHY GAZE AT A BEAUTIFUL FLOWER?
Gazing at a beautiful flower gives us the opportunity to see something beautiful and natural. We can feel peace as we gaze at the flower. WE SEE WHAT WE WANT TO SEE.
VOTING is one of the ways we have the power to have our country BE what we want to SEE. We can choose to complain every day about the way things are. We can write clever posts on Facebook and mock the things we do not like to see in our country. OR we can choose to MAKE A DIFFERENCE. ONE WAY TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE IS TO VOTE. It is too bad that we can’t create the country we want as easily as we can gaze at a beautiful flower and feel peace. MAKING A DIFFERENCE IN OUR COUNTRY TAKES HARD WORK, DEDICATION, AND FOCUS. Vote and help your family and friends to get out and vote. As I write these words, they are words directed at myself and to anyone else who has been willing to read this post.

YES, I am a psychic medium focusing on doing readings and helping people cope with the grief of a loved one. AND it is also time to share FUN music as part of the spiritual path to feeling good. This is NOT a meditation CD. You will hear blues, jazz, folk and soft rock. The themes are very new age: songs about getting ready for the after life, songs about mysterious goddess like women, songs about love affairs where cupid spirits unite a couple. Yes the themes are very new age, but the music is very 70ies. There are no bird songs or waterfalls in this album.

HEALING THE PAIN OF REGRET ~ FROM A MEDIUM’S PERSPECTIVE
Painful photo? YES as the pain of regret IS very painful. Everything I have learned from BEING a parent and everything I have learned from the messages of apology that come through from loved one’s in eternal life to their children still living has taught me: there is no such thing as a perfect parent. And there is no such thing as a perfect human being. At least I have never met such a unique creature. ( In fact those parading around as perfect spiritual guru’s frighten me the most.)
SOOOOOOOO, should we stop TRYING because we can’t be perfect? If you say “yes” to that – it is the same as being on a healthy diet, having something not so healthy to eat and then deciding all is lost so you might as well food binge for the next month.
FACE THE PAIN OF REGRET: Think about that ONE DAY that changed your whole life, at least it seemed like it did. You made a mistake. If only you could take that day back. The movie of that day plays over and over in your mind, year after year. This was a day you made a mistake as a parent. There may have been other mistakes on other days, but this one day looms large on the horizon of your visions of the mistakes you made.
Do those mistakes matter now? Of course they matter now, but if you have faced your mistakes, have become a more balanced person, apologized for your mistakes, then it is high time that you FORGIVE YOURSELF even if you are not forgiven by others.
FORGIVE YOURSELF AND PERHAPS YOU WILL BEGIN TO FORGIVE YOUR OWN PARENTS
Were your parents perfect? Most likely not. Did they make mistakes that you have never forgiven them for in your heart. (It goes without saying that if you have been brutally abused you may not be able to forgive.) But for the better part of us who had parents that ranged from close to perfect to emotionally abusive due to untreated mental illness or personality disorders: we have parents who loved us but who make mistakes that changed our lives in the same way that our mistakes changed the lives of our children. It is amazing how we begin to understand and forgive the mistakes of our parents as we begin to understand our own mistakes AS parents.
As a medium I can tell many stories about the loved ones who come through in readings with very specific apologies to their living children. And as these loved ones in spirit are able to apologize it appears to me that they are able to move on in the never ending spiritual growth in Eternal Life.
YOU reading this, are still living and so you have the opportunity to apologize NOW. You have the chance to forgive yourself NOW.
FORGIVE YOURSELF AND PERHAPS YOU WILL BEGIN TO FORGIVE YOUR CHILDREN
If you have children who have reached adulthood, have they been perfect children? Have they always treated you and other members of the family well? Most likely they have not as they are human beings like the rest of us and they are not perfect. As you forgive yourself for not being perfect, you may begin to forgive not only your parents, but your children.
And if your grown children are parents, most likely they will not become perfect parents as they are human beings and there are no perfect human beings.
I DISAGREE WITH MANY OF MY COLLEAGUES WHO BELIEVE EVERYTHING HAPPENS FOR A REASON
There are colleagues in my field who believe that every thing we do, we do for the reason of learning, and everything that happens is meant to happen. I am not able to go along with that idea, and from my perspective there is absolutely no way to prove that concept. When someone is brutally abused I cannot accept that this was “meant to be.”
What I do accept is that we do not have control over all that happens in life. What we have more control over is how we respond to what happens. And if we have behaved badly it was not written someplace in eternity that we were meant to behave badly. We must face our actions, cope with our regret, change our behaviors, and eventually forgive ourselves. And if others have hurt us, depending on the severity of the circumstances, we need to find our way to forgiveness as much as we possibly can.
Let us focus on forgiving ourselves, and forgiving others. And while facing the regret, also focus on facing the reality that no one is perfect: I am not perfect, you are not perfect, they are not perfect. No one is perfect. Accepting our imperfect reality brings HEALING.
DEAR READERS: This post cannot possibly contain all of the many stories about different kinds of mistakes: mistakes we have made ourselves and the many ways we have suffered from the mistakes made by others. Not even a whole book could include all of the mistakes human beings make. The topic of mistakes can be overwhelming, but we can make a start by accepting who we are as human beings and work to become better people making less mistakes.
WASTED ENERGY TRYING TO FIT IN July 27, 2016

LOOK IN THE MIRROR. Look into your own eyes. Realize that each time you try to FIT IN to a role, situation or relationship that you really do not want, you are giving up part of yourself. And as you give up part of yourself, that uses up a lot of vital energy within you.WHAT would you do with that energy that is now being wasted as you try to fit in? How would you “spend” that energy if you could free that wasted energy up from having to do the horrible job of trying to make you be someone else?
Of course there ARE some situations and relationships that you are not going to leave for good reason. But if you are like me and many of those I consult with, there IS room for improvement in your personal journey: the journey to become more of who you really are. And there ARE many roles, situations and relationships that you CAN change.
I think of myself as being very different. And perhaps this is a fantasy as maybe most people think they are different. Perhaps we are all the same in that we all think we are different. No matter what the answer to this riddle is: we can all become more of who we really are!
I have come a long way in being who I am. When I was younger never would I have imagined that as an older person I would be a psychic medium out there in the world: a working medium and a published author. I know many people who are psychic and mediumistic who are afraid to admit their spiritual gifts even to themselves. I remember the years when I was deciding if I was willing to write books, be on television and radio and be know publicly or remain a kind of closeted medium that very few people would find out about. It was a bit scary to come out as a psychic medium. Not everyone was going to approve of me, some people would say I was a freak or wacko.
LET US ASK OURSELVES LIFE CHANGING QUESTIONS: What would my life look like if I was being more of who I really am? Would I still be working in the same kind of job. would I be working at all, who would I be spending time with, what would my schedule look like, what relationships would I let go of and what kinds of relationships would I be looking for? WHAT WOULD CHANGE? There are as many answers to these questions as there are people who are willing to look themselves in the eyes and ask the questions.
LIFE IS SHORT SO DO NOT WAIT: I kinda understood that life is short when I was younger, but with years of experience as a psychic medium communicating with the spirits of those who have passed on, I really know that life is short. And with years of comforting clients who are mourning the passing of a loved one: I know now that life is short. Of course I have also been in deep grief over the passing of my own loved ones, and each time another of my family or friends makes a transition into eternal life, I learn once again that life is short.
Don’t misunderstand this message. It is not a message that begs you to turn your whole life upside down in a day. It is a message that says “LOOK INTO YOUR OWN EYES AND SEE WHO YOU ARE. BECOME MORE OF WHO YOU ARE IN YOUR EVERYDAY LIFE AS LIFE IS SHORT.”

OPENING TO THE SPIRIT WITHIN TO FIND RELAXATION
Some days I find myself running around in circles. I become frantic about schedules and I really try to do TOO much. How about you? Do you over schedule your days?
I am so grateful to be writing books and composing music related to spiritual development because as has been said “WE TEACH WHAT WE NEED TO LEARN.” Yes, by this time in my life I have studied a great deal and experienced many years of work in the field of spirituality. But the truth is that I need to refocus myself each day and continue to evolve spiritually just as much as you do. And unless you are the one perfect person in the human race, then you still have room to grow and unfold spiritually.
When I remember to stop and remember that while I am an individual I AM PART OF THE ONE, then I calm down and understand that whatever I am so frantic about does not really matter that much in the whole scheme of things. I need to remember to slow down, breathe, and for me: listen to or perform music. Music is vibration and the vibes of a certain piece of music can totally change my mood and my energy level at the moment.

Many of us who work as professional mediums have had a number of teachers who have influenced our lives and our work as mediums. Many who receive readings from us do not realize how important our teachers are to us. Most of us have had one main teacher and in addition have attended workshops with the best mediums around the world: many who seem to work in the UK. Our beloved teacher Glyn Edwards made his transition to the world of Spirit May 31, 2015 and all of us who considered him one of our important teachers, are very sad indeed. While we know his spirit will live on in eternal life, we shall surely miss his physical presence.
Hope to have a better quality photo for you soon. He was an extremely evidential medium and a very handsome man.
SUNDAY SERVICE DEDICATED TO GLYN
On June 7th we dedicated our Spiritualist church service to Glyn at the Greater Boston Church of Spiritualism. Rev. Mary DiGiovanni chaired the service, I performed the music and the speaker/medium for the day was a medium visiting us from Scotland: Reverend Sandy Campbell. Was it a coincidence that all there of us studied with Glyn? Below is a picture of the three of us along with a woman who came to turn pages for me when I sang: Melissa Garlisi.

STOP WORRYING AND GET ON WITH IT May 26, 2015

I am embarrassed to admit it, but I worry WAY too much. I am a “mature woman” now and when I look back over the things I have worried the most about, NONE of those things have happened. Of course I have had bad things happen and hard times like all of you. BUT the difficult things that happened were not the things I worried about. So all that worrying was for NOTHING. I wish I could take back those hours of worry and turn them into hours of productive work or good old FUN.
These days I try hard to catch myself when I am worrying and either let my worry propel me into taking an action related to the worry, or if there is nothing I can DO, then try to let the worry go.
Right now there are things going on in the lives of people I care about and there is NOTHING I can do to change these situations or even deeply influence the people involved to do what I think they should do. Yes, of course I have opinions about things, but at this point in life, I know that others are going to do whatever they are going to do regardless of what I say. And how am I to really know what is right for another person anyway? The only thing I CAN do is live MY life the way I want to live it,
