MORE THAN A MEMORY? January 25, 2015

We all miss our loved ones who have passed on into the spirit world. And we have many memories. Some memories are good and some are bad. Just like life: sometimes good and sometimes bad.

As a psychic medium there are times when I experience a memory of a loved one in spirit, and I sense that it is NOT JUST a memory, but also a communication from the world of spirit.  How do I know that to be true?  Because when I do readings for others where I communicate with the spirits of their loved ones, whom I know NOTHING about, and the clients understand the information regarding the “memory” I know we are in contact with a loved one of theirs. The spirit is proving to both me and the client that this is MORE than a memory: it is a communication from spirit.OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Treasure the moments in your life when you have great memories about loved ones who have passed on, or even loved ones living: whom you do not get to see very often. Whether your good memory is of going to Hawaii or Disney World, or hanging out at the corner grocery store or riding in the back of the van: treasure those memories.

And be aware that when you have memories of someone who has passed on, it may be a spiritual communication for you.

My Husband Had a Postnoggative Dream June 27, 2010

This morning when my husband told me about a dream he had, I tried, as any psychic medium would, to tell him what his dream may have meant.  He had dreamt that he was in a location where he asked a woman if she knew where a general store was in town, because when he travels he does not like to go to speciality stores. He likes to go to a local, general store.  When I asked him what the dream meant, he said he did not know. “Well” I began, “you might have had a precognitive dream, which means that one day you will have this actual conversation with this woman, or you may have experienced spiritual sleep-travel: your spirit traveled during your sleep and had a conversation with this woman.” My husband would have none of this, and interrupted me and said “NO, I had a postnoggative dream.” Expecting to hear something new,  I asked him “what is a postnoggative dream?” He replied “The kind of dream after you’ve been hit on the head.”  I did not carry the conversation any further LOL.

Do you ever dream music? I do and it is an incredible experience.   Sometimes I will dream a song that I know, but have not heard in a long time. Why?  Perhaps that song is stored somewhere in my consciousness and in the dream state, it becomes part of my reality.  Whenever I dream happy music, I wake with the most wonderful feeling. This morning I woke after dreaming the Walt Disney song, “I’ve Got to Crow.”  The song has been in my mind all morning, giving me a good start to my day.

Sometimes I dream music without having asked for a musical dream, and other times I ask. As I go to sleep I pray to the God of my understanding for a musical dream.  My prayers are often answered.

Sometimes I will dream symphonic pieces. This has given me an understanding of how some of the great classical composers just sat down and wrote symphonies that they related seemed to be already composed and  in the cosmos. All they had to do was write them down.  I do not have the ability (that I know of at this point) to just write down the symphonies that I hear, but I am grateful every time I dream symphonic music.

Do you dream music?

It is my belief that when we dream, we become aware of the realms our spirits travel in all the time, even when we are awake.  During waking hours, as we are concentrated on our conscious activity, we are not aware of the travels of our spirits.  When we are asleep, our conscious mind is not taking all of our attention, and so we become aware of these travels.

But you may ask, if our spirits are traveling even when we are awake, do they leave us? My sense is that our spirits, unlike our bodies, are able to be in many locations at the same time, and in fact the concept of locations does not really apply to the way our spirits see the greater universe. Our spirits know that we are all one, and so our spirits are part of the entire universe all the time.

Our dreams can teach us about ourselves. When you wake from a dream try to remember it.  While some of your dreams may be what I call “junk dreams” and do not have any spiritual messages for you, other dreams may be visitations from the spirits of your loved ones who have passed on into eternal life, or messages from your spirit that can be transforming for you, if you can let these messages become your teachers.

More on this topic tomorrow. In the meantime, have a good nights dream tonight.

Spiritual Dreams of Transformation July 31, 2009

Spiritual dreams transform my life. I have only had about five spiritual dreams in my many years of living, but each one has changed my life as the Divine has communicated with me about my life path.

Spiritual dreams are not ordinary dreams that I often call “junk dreams.”  They are most often in color and when one wakes there is a feeling of complete peace and happiness.

Last night I had a spiritual dream with incredible colors and the most beautiful music I have ever heard.  I woke with a feeling of bliss.  Gratitude fills my heart today.

Many people ask me what they can do in order to have more meaningful dreams.  They also ask me how they can remember their dreams more of the time. My advice is to say a prayer before you go to sleep at night.  Whether you pray to God, the Divine, a spiritual guide, an angel or to a Higher Power, you will reach the God of your understanding.  Say of prayer of gratitude for the day you have just lived, and ask for guidance for the days to come. After your prayer, remind yourself to be patient. You may or may not have a transforming dream that night or for many nights, or perhaps for years.  But eventually you will have life changing dreams and you will remember them.

In my experience, progress on the spiritual path takes sustained commitment.
