Dreams As Teachers (P 1) November 28, 2009

It is my belief that when we dream, we become aware of the realms our spirits travel in all the time, even when we are awake.  During waking hours, as we are concentrated on our conscious activity, we are not aware of the travels of our spirits.  When we are asleep, our conscious mind is not taking all of our attention, and so we become aware of these travels.

But you may ask, if our spirits are traveling even when we are awake, do they leave us? My sense is that our spirits, unlike our bodies, are able to be in many locations at the same time, and in fact the concept of locations does not really apply to the way our spirits see the greater universe. Our spirits know that we are all one, and so our spirits are part of the entire universe all the time.

Our dreams can teach us about ourselves. When you wake from a dream try to remember it.  While some of your dreams may be what I call “junk dreams” and do not have any spiritual messages for you, other dreams may be visitations from the spirits of your loved ones who have passed on into eternal life, or messages from your spirit that can be transforming for you, if you can let these messages become your teachers.

More on this topic tomorrow. In the meantime, have a good nights dream tonight.

Risk is an individual matter: we each take the kinds of risks that we can handle. You will not find me hang gliding, riding motorcycles or sky diving but I am able to take many creative risks.

What kind of risks are you willing to take?

This morning when I was at the gym, I met an elderly woman who walked around the track ever so slowing with her care taker by her side.  Every time she walked about a quarter of the way around the track, she stopped to rest. Then up and at it again she was.  Her steps were slow but her mind was as strong as steel.

I stopped to chat with this woman as I left the track.  “How was your workout,” I asked.  “I would rather be here than in bed” she said with a hint of sarcasm and a whole lot of humor.

This woman was taking a risk as she painfully walked the track. I hope I run into again, because she made my day.I learned alot from her about risk.

We Are All Mother’s of the Earth Let Us Not Escape into Cyberspace May 8, 2009

As we approach Mother’s day, it is a day that we think about caring for others. That is what a mother must do for her children.  On Mother’s day let us all find a way to find the mother instinct within. Every woman and man has the instinct of a parent.

As we find ourselves so comfortable in “cyberspace” I sometimes wonder if we are going more inward into technology, because we fear that being outside will ultimately not be safe. Sometimes I wonder if children are so involved in computers and in cyberspace because they know that the new world will not be as safe outside as it has been for generations past. When I have these feelings, I hope I am wrong.

I pray that we can seriously once again learn to take care of the earth, and all be mothers to the earth.

AS OUR WORLD CHANGES— BUCKLE UP YOUR SPIRITUAL SEAT BELTS

I am not usually a psychic medium who is willing to make predictions, but this year I feel impressed to do so.   The Guidance that I feel around me tells me that it is time for all of us to “buckle up our spiritual seat belts” and get ready to take an incredible ride.  There will be many opportunities for spiritual growth in the next year and in the years to come.  Those of us who focus on walking the spiritual path need to get our own spiritual houses in order so that we may act as anchors of light for others. There will be many great awakenings in the next year where people who have been centered on themselves and centered on material possessions, will be called upon to change their ways.  For those who have always had things their way and have always had everything they want instantly, change is going to be difficult.   We must support others as they need to change.  Each one of us will also need to make changes, and so when we need help we must call on each other.

You do not have to be psychic to know that we have and will have great financial challenges in the next year or so.  You do not have to be psychic to know how important it is for us to make choices that help our world to stop the pollution that threatens our planet earth.  Money will not flow as easily as before, and we will have more evidence that our planet is in danger and we must act NOW rather than waiting to have more proof that we have a problem with the environment.

We are going to be called on more than ever to TAKE RESPONSIBILITY for our personal lives, our neighborhood, our community, our state, our country and our world.  The days are over when we can just lay back and let “them” take care of everything.  Our world leaders  and our governments cannot solve all our problems. The God of our understanding cannot protect us from the bad choices we make.  We are going to be asked to help in a way that we have not been asked for many years. The time has come for all of us to become involved in helping our world: each in our own way.

Each one of us must face our local, national and world challenges and find ways to do our part.

A Prayer for the Holidays

Let us first of all send our prayers and healing thoughts to all those who have lost loved ones and who are in deep grief.   We know how hard it is to be missing a family member at this time and we send you our love. Let us also send our prayers and healing thoughts to all those who are ill, in poverty or depressed.  We pray that better times reach you soon.

Let us be grateful for all of our friends and family and wish them the very best for the holiday season and for the new year. Let us be grateful for every breath we take, knowing that breath is life. Let us look for the goodness in every person and in every moment, knowing that there is something that can be learned even in difficult situations.

Let us laugh and remember not to take ourselves, others or life too seriously. It seems that when we get a chance to meet the great Gurus, they are often laughing.  Perhaps life can be very spiritual and incredibly funny all at the same time.

So be it.

I extend a personal thank you to all of you on my email list and who visit our blog. I thank you for your communication through out the year.   You are important to me and please receive my gratitude.

The Wonders of Cyberspace in Joanne Gerber’s Chat Room October 28, 2008

Last night I was one of two guest mediums in Joanne Gerber’s Chat too.  Doreen Molloy was the other guest medium.  It was a great evening of “chat conversation” and questions being answered by Joanne, Doreen and myself that were sent in by the 200 guests in the chat room.  200 GUESTS! Think about that for a moment. Think about what it costs to get 200 people together in a physical space.  Then think about how easy it was for all 203 of us, including us mediums, to gather together for an evening. It is incredible!

One of the things that I loved last night was the feeling of community I felt between all of us in the chat room.  While I could not see anyone there, I could feel the energy from the words that guests were sharing.

Yesterday in this blog, I wrote about how important it is to get away from the computer and get outside.  Today I am writing about the wonders of cyberspace and the Internet.  Are we not fortunate as human beings to have so many wonderful opportunities of different kinds!

Email Readings September 20, 2008

I remember what life was like before the Internet.  BORING in some ways! Today in 2008, it is incredible to be reaching out to people all over the world through the Internet.

While I do not do email readings, years ago I went to a “psychic chat room” and someone in the room wrote “where am I?”  I had a hunch and I wrote back “Wyoming.” It turned out that the chap was from Wyoming.  I was extremely excited that I had a real “psychic hit” on line.

So why don’t I do email readings?  While I do guest readings in a chat room once in a while, I stay away from any in-depth readings on line because I have no way of knowing who I am writing to.  A person who presents herself as a fifty year old woman could really be a ten year old boy “posing” as an older woman on line.  I feel more comfortable and more responsible doing readings either in-person or on the phone.

But the Internet is a great way to reach out and converse with people all over the world and I LOVE it.  My website brings me clients from many countries and I am blessed to be able to work with people from so many different cultures and backgrounds.
