R U All Over the Place? October 9, 2010

Lose your keys?  Can’t find your wallet? Did you leave the house and have to go back twice to get something you forgot?  No matter what age we are, at times we are “ditsey.” We become “discombobulated” and can’t seem to do anything right.

Enter: Quick Re-Centering Technique

Find a quiet and safe place to close your eyes and take three deep breaths. As you breathe in,  repeat in your mind ” breathing in calm”  and as you let the air out, repeat in your mind “letting go of tension.”  It is amazing how quick you can feel better in less than a minute.

You and I have most likely heard about this technique before, but the question is “DO WE USE IT?”  On an intellectual level, we understand so many things and we know what we need to do to feel better,  but we do not take the actions necessary to make ourselves feel better. Thinking without action does us no good.

Stop now and take three deep breaths.  You DO have time.
