Do you ever dream music? I do and it is an incredible experience.   Sometimes I will dream a song that I know, but have not heard in a long time. Why?  Perhaps that song is stored somewhere in my consciousness and in the dream state, it becomes part of my reality.  Whenever I dream happy music, I wake with the most wonderful feeling. This morning I woke after dreaming the Walt Disney song, “I’ve Got to Crow.”  The song has been in my mind all morning, giving me a good start to my day.

Sometimes I dream music without having asked for a musical dream, and other times I ask. As I go to sleep I pray to the God of my understanding for a musical dream.  My prayers are often answered.

Sometimes I will dream symphonic pieces. This has given me an understanding of how some of the great classical composers just sat down and wrote symphonies that they related seemed to be already composed and  in the cosmos. All they had to do was write them down.  I do not have the ability (that I know of at this point) to just write down the symphonies that I hear, but I am grateful every time I dream symphonic music.

Do you dream music?
