Work It Out August 22, 2008

I finally did it and joined a gym after trying to exercise at home for many years.  While it is very hard to find the time to go to the gym, there is nothing that is more “mood improving” than good old physical exercise.

There were quite a few physically challenged people working out at the gym today, who make the rest of us couch potatoes look like soggy warmed over noodles.  I hope that if I am ever injured badly that I have the power to work out the way some of these folks do. 

One of the reasons working out at the gym is better than working out at home, is because there ARE people around to motivate me.  When I try to work out at home, it is all too easy to be distracted by a phone call or a piece of left over pizza sitting on the stove.  At the gym I keep working out if only to keep up with the other people.
